How to Manage a Cloud VPS

After creating a Cloud VPS on SeFlow, you can manage all its features through the SeFlow Control Panel. From here you can monitor status, resources, reboot/shutdown operations, console access, snapshots, IPs, and more.

Tip: Always create a snapshot before making important system changes to ensure a safe recovery point.

Accessing Cloud VPS Management

To access the VPS management section:

  1. Log in to the SeFlow Panel with your credentials;
  2. go to Public Cloud → VPS → Cloud VPS;
  3. select the Cloud VPS you want to manage from the list.

Cloud VPS Dashboard

The Cloud VPS dashboard displays key information such as:

  • VPS name;
  • Machine status (Running, Stopped, Error);
  • Allocated resources:
    • vCPU
    • RAM
    • Storage
  • Assigned IP addresses (IPv4/IPv6);
  • Region/datacenter;
  • Installed operating system.

Main Operations

You can perform several actions on the Cloud VPS directly from the management panel.

Power On and Power Off

  • Start the VPS if it is currently powered off;
  • Shut down the VPS gracefully;
  • Force shutdown if the system is unresponsive.
Tip: Use “force shutdown” only if the VPS is completely unresponsive. It is equivalent to unplugging a physical server.

Reboot

  • Standard reboot of the operating system;
  • Force reboot in case of freezes or critical issues.

Cloud VPS Console

The console allows you to access the VPS even when:

  • the network is misconfigured;
  • SSH (Linux) is not responding;
  • RDP (Windows) is unavailable;
  • firewall or routing rules block normal access.
Tip: Use the console for emergency access or when applying critical system changes (boot parameters, GRUB modifications, firewall misconfigurations, etc.).

Snapshot Management

Snapshots allow you to save the full state of the Cloud VPS (disk and configuration) at a specific moment. They are useful for:

  • system updates;
  • major service or configuration changes;
  • application testing;
  • quick restoration after errors.

Create a Snapshot

  1. Open the Cloud VPS management screen;
  2. go to the Snapshot section;
  3. click Create Snapshot;
  4. enter a descriptive name and confirm.

Restore a Snapshot

  1. Go to the Snapshot section;
  2. select the snapshot you want to restore;
  3. click Restore.
Tip: Restoring a snapshot will overwrite the current state of the VPS. Ensure no important data is stored only on the VPS before restoring.

IP Address Management

In the network section, you can view and manage:

  • IPv4 address;
  • IPv6 address (if enabled);
  • Connectivity status;
  • Additional IPs (if supported).
Tip: Avoid changing IP settings directly inside the operating system without first checking the correct configuration in the SeFlow panel, or you may lose access to the VPS.

Cloud VPS Statistics

The panel provides real-time graphs and metrics for:

  • CPU usage;
  • RAM usage;
  • Disk I/O activity;
  • Network traffic.
Tip: Monitor statistics regularly to identify performance bottlenecks or the need for a resource upgrade.

Operation Logs

The “log” or “history” section shows all actions performed on the VPS, including:

  • power on/off events;
  • reboots;
  • snapshot creation;
  • errors or warnings.
Tip: Check the operation logs regularly to diagnose issues or review actions performed by users on your account.

Deleting the Cloud VPS

You can permanently delete a Cloud VPS from the panel. This action includes:

  • permanent removal of the server;
  • deletion of assigned storage;
  • release of IP addresses;
  • deletion of associated snapshots.
Tip: Always perform an external backup before deleting a VPS. This action is irreversible.

Summary of Available Features

  • Start, Stop, Reboot
  • Emergency Console
  • Real-time Statistics
  • Snapshot Management
  • IP Configuration
  • Operation Logs
  • VPS Deletion
Tip: For optimal management, follow best practices: take snapshots before major changes, monitor performance regularly, and maintain frequent backups.
